Architecture for Dogs

This week I was gifted a book titled, Architecture for Dogs, a gorgeous bilingual catalogue published in 2013 for an exhibition that took place across three venues. As we all look for a way to navigate the present and plan the future, the quote by graphic designer/exhibition director Kenya Hara on the book sleeve suggests: “We may instead be able to identify hints for how to move forward by taking another look at the small beings that live beside us and by projecting the possibilities for a new architecture through them. And so the question: if we were to imagine an environment based on the scale of dogs, what would it be like?” I was particularly charmed by Architecture for Bichon Frise created by Kazuyo Sejima pictured here.
