My meditation this morning centered on what is enough, and an Eckhart Tolle quote was shared: “If the only prayer you ever say is thank you, that will be enough.” We know that happiness does not facilitate gratitude, but gratitude facilitates happiness. There is always something more—more money, fitness, time, or attention. I have also always told my kids to be happy with what they have and not ask for more. So much wisdom can be found in knowing when and why something is enough; in fact, everything we have been given is already more than enough. Thank you.
I love Giorgio Morandi’s paintings. They present everyday objects—things we might overlook—with the reverence and grace that remind us the ordinary is, in fact, sacred. The things we have and use to exist and the people around us every day can and should be revered. No one can be thanked too many times for what they do, who they are, and how they help. Thank you.
